The first giver
Samsoil
In heart giving life to my seed That will bloom because of your love And take care until it grows tall For me, you are always above I will come whenever you call From beginning, you are with me With you I am always in glee
I will compare you to the sun Shining bright to people below You help give life to the small one Your loving warmth will always show Everywhere I go, I see you Always giving light when I need Showing the way where I go to
But then you leave us, life of soil Make me feel like being in snow During the storm, you hold me close Now youre gone, Im singing my blue But the decision is what you chose Warm, mild, tender, oh its you You look so scary, full of worms But if theres no you, theres no me Leading me to all the good germs They all then help to set me free This December you are leaving It would be hard be for my sleeping

I will compare you to the soil Without you, us plants cannot grow
Chada Srihiran is the author of The Shining Sun. She is one of Ms. Sharons student, and is also in 8D class. She is a nice girl, always getting a high score in most of the tests she had done. She grew up in Bangkok, Thailand and is now studying in Ekamai International School. She decided to dedicate her first sonnet to her mom.
Shall I compare you to the sky Always smile like love has been found Making me smile when you pass by You are the cloud of peace and sound You are my light during bad times The clouds I watch til out of sight You are the lovely star that chimes Dreaming bout you during the night You are the rainbow of my life The very reason for today You bring me harmony not strife Youre the sky that will always stay Even though you are far from me
Shall I compare you to a book? Looks hard and tough on the outside But wait-inside lets take a look Your pages are soft filled with pride Filled with many words and wonder Full of many mind-blowing stuff Mysteries, romance, humor
Too much to list, I huff and puff Alas, it takes time to read you Wonder whats gonna happen next? Hope its a happy ending too Time to finishing writing this text Its for you to read this and smile Its you that makes this time worthwhile
To me my mom, you are a big blanket You show your love to me through your softness
Warmth you gave, I describe in this sonnet You have shown to me what is happiness Without your help I will be cold to death Your concern for me like Im precious gold At night you care for me with every breath Other blankets cant give the warmth you hold When I fall, you are there to cover me You, thy blanket, never leave me alone When I am with you always theres a glee Protect me, with your love is always shown Big thank you for the warmth you have given Staying with you is like Im in heaven
