Newtons Laws of Motion

NEWTONS FIRST LAW
Every object continues to be in its state of uniform motion or of rest in a straight line unless done by some external force to perform otherwise. Newtons first law is really a statement about reference frames in which it describes the types of reference frames in which the laws of Newtonian mechanics hold. From that point of view the first law is expressed as:

NEWTONS SECOND LAW

The rate of change of momentum of object is proportional to the applied force and takes place in the direction in which the force performs. Newtons law from an 1803 conversion from Latin as Newton wrote The alteration of motion is ever proportional to the motive force impressed; and is made in the direction of the right line in which that force is impressed.

NEWTONS THIRD LAW OF MOTION

It can be defined as action and reaction are equal and opposite. If body 1 exerts force on body 2 then body 2 exerts equal and opposite force on body 1 i.e.

Spring force is the restoring force rising because of compression or extension of spring.

Spring force, F x , Where x is change in size of spring or displacement.

F kx

where k is a constant called spring constant or force constant. The negative sign denotes that the spring force is opposite to the direction of displacement of the spring from its normal position.
