Huntersville Police Department Evidence and Property Technician (Non-Sworn) The Huntersville Police Department has an immediate opening for a non-sworn Police Evidence and Property Technician. This position is responsible for the intake, processing, storage, and final disposition of all evidence and property submitted by department personnel. This position is responsible for the day to day operations of the Huntersville Police Departments property control and will be responsible for other administrative functions to include but not limited to: Agency Asset-Property Management; Quartermaster Duties, False Alarm Reduction Management and others assigned duties. This position provides a critical service to the police department and must exhibit unscrupulous integrity to maintain a viable chain of custody for property and evidence. Candidates should possess excellent organizational, clerical, and logistical abilities. Candidates must be able to work independently without constant supervision.

Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) is required. Past experience in property/evidence preferred. Prior law enforcement experience is helpful. Effective oral and written communication skills are a must. Must have Microsoft Office proficiency and possess adept computer skills. The candidate must have a clean criminal record. This is a non-sworn (civilian) position with a salary range of $33,921 - $54,156. Salary may be commensurate
with the experience and qualifications of the individual.
