Trigonal pyramid

The three-dimensional arrangement of atoms in a molecule. A structure in which all atoms are in a line. A molecular structure which is planar or flat (all four atoms in the same plane) with 120 degree bond angles. A structure with four identical triangular faces of a tetrahedron. A model used to predict molecular geometry. Based on the idea that pairs of electrons surrounding an atom repel each other and that the atoms in a molecule are positioned to minimize this repulsion. A structure with the shape of a pyramid with a triangle as a base.
