Emily Ude February 6, 2013 EDUC 201-01 Philosophy of Education Progressive educating is a form of teaching in which the student

is the main priority and content is derived from the students interests. It is critical to take into account the whole child. A progressive educator teaches the students more than what is in the academic lesson plan. Progressivism focuses on the flexibility of lessons in order to better educate students based on their individual learning techniques. Allowing for flexibility within the classroom and providing multiple testing options, will create stronger academic students and a more confident and comfortable learning environment.
