OBJECTIVES
Obtain a position within an elementary school where I can maximize my university training to develop the experience and expertise necessary to launch my teaching career. Also to encourage learning and group participation in the classroom, thereby helping students to become productive and successful citizens whom exude confidence and feel ready to pursue higher education.

Worked with four classes of third and fourth grade students to review math concepts that they were struggling with, preparing for the new school year. Created lesson plans and activities to promote understanding and retention of math concepts. Administered pre and post district assessments.

PTO/PTA Vice President 2010 Current In charge of organizing PTO meetings with parents, including creating agenda and announcements. Liaison for the Roads to Success program, data entry, assembly organization, organized fundraiser and carried out the entire project. FIELD EXPERIENCE
Second Grade Classroom January 2013 Current Spent several hours per week observing in a second grade classroom, discussing teaching philosophy, classroom management, and student assessment, as well as personal teaching efficacy with a mentor teacher. Assisted the teacher with classroom activities, as well as classroom management, and tutored students who needed extra support.

Participated in providing a healthy therapeutic learning environment for pre-school aged children with varying social, economic, cognitive, emotional, and physical abilities. Played with the kids and helped with learning activities.
