(ct. table 2) on the nominal size of the glass pane. Cutting to

Out-of-straightness of a pane is a function of its' thickness, Us

6.2 Drilling holes and cutting out
Drilling holes and cutting out is only permitted prior to the
glass being prestressed.

6.2.1 Holes
The minimum distance of a hole edge from the glass edges
and from other hole edges shall be twice the glass thickness.
If there' more than four holes in any configuration,
the manufai:turer shall be consulted regarding minimum
distances. If ahole is drilled in the corner-of a pane so that a .
hole edge is 'less than 35 mm from the glass edge. the cor
responding distance from the other edge shall be at least
5 mm greater.
The limit deviations on distances shall be on the lines of
table 2.

6.2.2 Cutting out

The many possibilities of cutting out cannot be dealt with

here. The extent and location of cutting out shall be subject to

agreement with the manufacturer.

11 Physical requirements
11.1 Resistance to fracture
If toughened glass is tested as'specified in DIN 52349. the
number, size and length of fragments shall be not more than
given in table
11.2 Bending strength
When tested as specified in DIN 52303, toughened glass
shall be found to have a minimum bending strength as given in
table 6. '
