Learning Activity #1: T.V. Tag: 1 person is it that person is trying to tag another person but you are safe is your squat down and call out a T.V. show that has not already been said. Play till 10:03 Transition: have students sit facing the whiteboard. Talk about motivation/tactic as students what their goal was in during this game? What techniques/tactics did you use to fulfill that motivation? Character Motivation: the reasons why a character acts, thinks or feels a certain way Tactics: Different ways/techniques/strategies to reach your goal Economy: Is a doing the most with the least. Ie talking to much with hands when its not helping make the point and then an angry character who doesnt say much at all but you can tell its angry. Its like a burger, if we want a great burger but am stuffing it with fish, cotton candy, boogers is it a good big burger? Or would you rather have a burger that has BBQ sauce, lettuce, and ketchup? 1

This shows that less is more. When we make exact decisions instead of throwing a bunch of stuff it our end product will be better. 10:08 8 mins Learning Activity #2: Bus Stop: aka park bench or bench. So this games will involve 2 people. The first person will be sitting on the bench when the second person enters. The second person wants the first person to leave therefore will try different tactics to make that person leave. The first person will leave when they feel the second person has given it their all. Once the first person leaves the second person slides over and now becomes the person that will leave next and a new person will come up. If I ask Gabie to leave for a $1 do you think shes going to leave if Im supposed to give it my all? No. Do you think if I give her $100 shes leave? Yes. When youre trying to get someone to leave you need to give them the $100 the golden nugget. For today when you are up there you must try 3 different tactics to make the person leave. No matter how good or weak they are on the 3rd tactic the person must leave and then well discuss which tactic was the strongest and why. No Touching Sponge: After 2 rounds I will give students restrictions that show use of economy of movement and speech, by having a student to the scene but only saying 5 words or by only making 5 movements all within the time frame. Instructions: done by 10:13 5mins Play till 10:20 7mins Learning Activity #3: Parts of a script: I will go over the different parts of a script.
