Form: Conditional Clause If + Simple Past

Would + Simple form of verb

Use: Used to talk about unreal, unlikely or impossible situations when we imagine what might happen. Examples: If I had time, I would watch the football match.
(I know I wont have time, since I know I have to work)

If I had a million dollars, I would travel around the world.


(I know dont have a million dollars and probably wont have.)

If could live anywhere, If President Obama called me on the telephone, If my boss criticized me unfairly, If Steven got a better job offer, If the car broke down, If someone asked me to do something dangerous,
