2. INTRODUCTION OF AIR POLLUTION

What is Air Pollution? 1) Air pollution is the unwanted and harmful substances that been added to the air by factories, motor vehicles, forests fires, the development of large housing estates and the extensive use of the chlorofluorocarbon(CFC). 2) It occurs when the atmosphere contains pollutants.

What is Air Pollutants? 1) Air pollutants are harmful chemicals or substances present in the air. They can affect human beings and the environment in a negative way. 2) Examples of air pollutants are smoke, dust, carbon monoxides and oxides of nitrogen, sulphur dioxide, lead, and chlorofluorocarbon.
