1. Find
a
Charity
that
Interests
You
1.1. Contact
them
describing
who
you
are,
what
team
and
league
you
play
for,
and
how
you
plan
on
fundraising
for
them.
2. Goal
Setting
2.1. Set
a
goal
for
how
long
the
fundraising
period
will
last
for
and
how
much
money
you
plan
to
raise.
3. Manage
Donations
3.1. Some
charities
will
give
you
the
ability
to
start
a
fundraising
page
so
all
donations
made
will
go
directly
to
the
charity;
that
way
you
dont
have
to
handle
any
money
and
people
feel
safer
about
making
a
donation.
If
the
charities
website
does
not
give
the
option
of
setting
up
a
fundraising
page
than
there
are
other
sites
that
allow
you
to
create
a
fundraising
page
as
long
as
they
work
with
your
chosen
charity.

will
more

fan

on
facebook

your

on
any
sites
such
as
Twitter,
Pinterest,
and
LinkedIn.
4.1.1.4. Send
out
updates
on
your
social
media
pages
at
least
once
a
day
so
everyone
in
your
network
has
a
chance
to
see
what
youre
trying
to
do.
4.1.1.5. When creating updates ask your network to share your cause on their social media outlets so more people will see what it is your trying to accomplish. 4.1.1.6. Most charities will have a website describing the kind of work they do and interesting facts on how their work makes a positive impact. There may even be information on how the charity uses the money donated to them. Share this type of information with your network when creating an update about your social media fundraiser. People want to know what organization their donation would be going to and how their donation would be used.
5. Contact HPA (hpassemble@hotmail.com) 5.1. By contacting us we can help promote your fundraiser on our social media sites and our website. We could also provide alternative ideas on how to bring in other sources of funding for your initiative. 6. Managing your Social Media Fundraiser Day-to-Day 6.1. This was a checklist we went through everyday to keep our social media fundraiser current and to keep everyone following us intrigued.
