AMENDMENTS TO THE CONVENTION ON INTEliNATIONAL CIVIL AVIATION

On 14 June 1954 the Assembly adopted a Protocol relating to the amendment of Articles 48 (a), 49 ( e ) and 61 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation. As that Protocol came into force, on 12 December 1956, the texts of the said Articles shall henceforth read as follows:

Article 48 (a)
( a ) I'he Assembly shall meet not less than once in three years and shall be convened by the Council at a suitable time and place. Extraordinary meetings of the Assembly may be held a t any tilne upon the call of the Council or a t the request of any ten contracting States addressed to the Secretary General.

Article 49 ( e )
(e) Vote annual budgets and determine the financial arrangements of the Organization, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter XI I ;

Article 61
'The (-louncilshall submit to the Assembly annual budgets, annual statements of accoullts and estimates of all receipts and expenditures. The Assembly shall vote .the butlgets with wllatevel- n-rodification it sees fit to prescribe, arid, with the cxceptiun of assessrrier~tsunder Chapter XV to States consenting thereto, shall apportion the expenses of the Organization amoilg the contracting States on the basis which it shall iron1 tin-re to time cletermine.

AMENDEMENTS A LA CONVENTION RELATIVE A Ii9AVIATION CIVILE INTEKNATIONALE

Le 14 juin 1954, I'Assembl6e a adopt6 un ,Protocole portant lnodification des articles 48 (a), 49 (e) et 61 de la Convention relative l'aviation civile internationale. Par suite de llentrCe en vigueur de ce Protocole le 12 dbcembre 1956, le texte des articles prCcit6s est dbsormais le suivant:

Article 48 (a)
a,) L1Assemb16cse rkunit au moins une fois tous Ies trois ans e t est convoquke par Ie Conseil en temps e t lieu utiles. Elle peut tenir des sessions extraordinaires & tout moment sur convocation du Conseil ou sur requete adressee au Secretaire gbnkrill par dix Etats contractants.

ENMIENDAS AL CONVENIO DE A V I A C I ~ N CIVIL INTERNACIONAL

El 14 de junio de 1954, la Asamblea adopt6 un Protocolo sobre las enmiendas a 10s Articulos 48 (a), 49 (a) y 61 del Convenio de Aviaci6n Civil Internacional. Como dicho Protocolo entrb en vigor el 12.de diciernbre de 1956, los textos de dichos articulos serhn en adelan te 10s siguientes :

Articulo 48 ( a )
a) La Asarnblea sc reunirh por lo rnenos una vez cada tres aiios y scrh convocada por el Conscjo en la fecha y lugar apropiados. La Asamblea podrA cclebrar reunioncs extraordinarias en todo rnomento por convocatoria del Consejo o a petici6n dc diez Estados contratantes,.dirigida a1 Secretario General.

Artfculo 49 ( e )
e) Aprobar preswpuestos anuales y dctcrminar el rbgimcn financier0 dc la Organizacibn, de acuerdo con lo dispuesto en el Capltulo X11.

Artfculo 61
El Consejo presentarh a la aprob1aci6ndc la Asamblca prcsupucstos, estados de ingresos y egrcsos por perlodos anuales. La Asamblca de cuentas y c ~ l c u l o s aprobarh 10s presupuestos con las modificaciones que considere conveniente irltroducir y , a exccpci6n dc las asignaciones que sc hagan de acucrdo con el Capltwlo XV a 10s Estados quc collsientan en ello, distribuirA 10s gastos cle la Organizaci61.r entre 10s Estados contratantes en la forma que en su uportunidad determine.
