An Awesome Poem Once I wrote an awesome poem But I forgot to write it down "If only I didn't forget it..." I say as I frown It was about Poetry And the beauty of the verse If you ever were to get sick Any poem could be your nurse I wrote these lines with meaning With conviction of their truth I once loved a woman as much She was my one and only Ruth If I remember it I'll tell you Though it may be awhile Some people like to memorize poems Now I realize, it's not my style
