Introduction:
The BMW N57 is a family of aluminum, turbocharged
straight-6 common rail diesel engines. These engines
utilize variable geometry turbochargers and Bosch piezoelectric injectors. N57D30Ox has 1800 bar pressure,
while N57D30Tx has 2000 bar pressure. N57D30Ox uses
single turbocharger, while N57D30Tx uses 2
turbochargers, and N57S use 3 turbochargers of varying
size.
