Introduction
This handbook aims to provide a framework for sport festivals between the ages of 7 -18 years. This will enable coaches and organizers to work with guidelines to prepare their teams for a one-day event. Above all, everyone involved, from players, coaches, managers and parents should embrace the concept of fun and enjoyment. Remember, there does not always have to be a winner, however it specific levels, results will be recorded. Rules All modified rules have been made to embrace the Small-Sided Game and Teaching Games for Understanding concept. Please refer to the www.jisac.weebly.com for all rules. Recommended Size of Teams To encourage Long Term Sport Development, modified versions of the game have been introduced. The will encourage space, more time, player involvement and touches on the ball, and less decision making. The sizes of the teams within the festival should be relative to the age of the players: Grades 2 - 3 Grades 4 - 5 Grades 6, 7-8 Grades 9+ Pitch Layout All playing area sizes have been adapted to suit the needs of the players age.
