Objective Obtain a teaching position that utilizes my passion for teaching to create a positive, safe environment for students by implementing various teaching methods and collaboration with other teachers to work on interdisciplinary units. Implemented differential math groups to ensure that all students have the tools and resources needed to excel. In an effort to foster the scientific mind, created hands on activities to reinforce the scientific method. Established a system of accountability to ensure that all classwork is completed, this allows for maximum on-task time as well as academic monitoring. Effectively incorporated technology in the classroom, to include, PowerPoint. U.S. Navy Instructor: Center for Surface Combat Systems, Norfolk VA, 2006-2009 Facilitated Shipboard teams in proper war fighting tactics to avoid or defeat enemy threats. Instruction was delivered via team-centered lessons and hands-on activities.
