What is induction?
 Induction is process meant to help the new
employee to settle down quickly into the job
by becoming familiar with the people, the
surroundings, the job, the firm and the
industry.
 Induction is the process of acquainting the
new employees with the existing culture and
practices of the new organization.
Objectives:

 Removes Fears.
 Creates a good impression.
 Acts as a valuable source of information.
Induction Programme :
Steps
 Welcome to the organization.
 Explain about the company.
 Show the location/department of that job.
 Give the company’s manual to new recruits.
 Provide details about various work groups
and the extent of unionism within the
organization.
 Give details about pay, benefits, holidays,
leave etc..Emphasize importance of
punctuality.

 Explain about future training opportunities
and career prospects.
 Clarify doubts .
 Take the employee on a guided tour of
buildings, facilities etc. Hand him over to
his supervisor.

b) Lowering the morale of remaining
staff

Employee Induction
Programme : in Indian
 Aptech : The company takes structured
induction training programme. The one
day programme includes the information
about the company. The entrants are also
familiarised what others do. A six month
behavioral training is also offered. Finally,
the recruits are put through an appraisal
process to gauge fitment and progress.
