ZOOM IN SLOWLY as the Chevrolet makes its way off the Freeway onto an avenue, up one street, down another, until it pulls up to a group of slightly delapidated two-story apartment buildings. DANIEL WEBER, 15 and a half, and his mother, LUCILLE, emerge from the car to survey their new home. Both look wilted from the ride. Lucille smiles at her son, definitely the more enthusiastic of the two. She grabs two battered suitcases and heads for the nearest building.
