Stage/Time Set Induction (3 minutes) Rationale: To arouse the students interest to the topic

Activity/Content 1. Whole class activity. AVA: Mask 2.

Presentation Teacher calls out a student at random, provides a mask of a robot and asks the student to put it on. Teacher instructs the student to pretend to be a robot named Miki.

Teacher commands the robot using action verbs. Example: a. Miko, mop the floor. b. Miko, wash the plates. c. Miko, wipe the windows. 4.

Teacher calls out other students at random to give commands to the robot. The robot performs the actions.

Stage/Time Pre-Speaking (4 minutes) Rationale: To enable the students to construct sentences using the Simple Present Tense.

Presentation Teacher displays a picture of Miko the robots daily routine on the screen. Teacher states that the picture shows Mikos daily routine. Teacher poses a question to the students pertaining to the picture. Example: What does Miko do every morning? Teacher calls upon a student at random to answer the question based on the picture displayed on the screen. Example: Miko washes the car every morning. Teacher displays other pictures of Mikos daily routine and poses questions to the students one at a time. Example: a. What does Miko do every afternoon? b. What does Miko do every evening? Students answer the questions one at a time. Example: a. Miko prepares lunch in the afternoon. b. Miko washes car in the evening.

Teacher instructs the students to get into pairs. Teacher distributes a picture series of Mikos daily routine to each pair. Teacher instructs a student from each pair to state Mikos daily routine based on the pictures. Example: a. Miko washes the car every morning. b. Miko vacums the floor every afternoon.

3. Rationale: To enable the students to state ones daily routines based on given pictures.

Teacher instructs the other student in each pair to pretend to be Miko and perform the routines. Teacher instructs the students to reverse the roles and continue the activity.

I have my lunch every afternoon. / I take a nap every afternoon Teacher instructs the students to list down in point form their friends daily routines based on the responses received.
