    Bayt makam

    Outline of makam The scale of this makam is identical to that of Uak makam, but the difference lies in the seyir: Bayt makam has an ascending-descending seyir, whereas Uak makam has an ascending seyir.

    If the scale is extended above the octave a Krd tetrachord is used above the Bselik pentachord:

    A Nikriz pentachord on C (rgh) overlapping with a Hicaz tetrachord on D (nev) can also be used in Bayt makam:
