1.2.1. PREFERENTIAL RUNWAY
RWY 24 will be preferential whenever the tail wind component does not exceed
10KT and the RWY surface is dry or wet with braking action good.
1.2.2. RUN-UP TESTS
Engine test time period will be between 0730-2359LT.
Engine tests higher than idle regimes will be allowed in the area enabled for this
purpose, end TWY C next to RWY 06 THR, and must follow TWR instructions.

1.3. LOW VISIBILITY PROCEDURES (LVP)
1.3.1. GENERAL
LVP will be applied when RVR or visibility is 500m or below. Pilots will be informed
by TWR about the application of LVP.
1.3.2. GROUND MOVEMENT
Pilots will proceed to verify at every moment the ACFT position, checking that
taxiing is being executed under total safety conditions. In case of being disoriented
or in doubt, pilots must stop the ACFT and notify TWR.
ARRIVAL
ACFT, that have already landed will notify:
- Runway vacated and
- TWY used.
At the apron entry, ACFT must wait for arrival of "Follow-me" vehicle in order to
be guided to the assigned stand.
DEPARTURE
In order to establish the better transit sequence, pilots will avoid requesting
clearance for start-up, push-back or taxiing, when the RVR values or the
meteorological visibility are below their operational minimums.
Only one ACFT at the same time will be authorized to move in the maneuvering area.
1.4. TAXI PROCEDURE
Unless ATC advises otherwise, ACFT shall enter apron by TWY B, when RWY 24 is in
use and by TWY A, when RWY 06 is in use. ACFT must be ready for towed push-back
or taxiing within the next 5 minutes to the approved start-up time; pilots will
contact ATC if otherwise.

Note:
Use of Transponder
The use of SSR transponder is compulsory for all ACFT operating within Palma TMA.
In case of transponder failure, Pilots have to request an ATC clearance.
ACFT shall contact or monitor on frequencies as depicted in boxes on Palma 10-1V.
See also the corresponding Approach Charts of Ibiza, Menorca, Palma de Mallorca and Mallorca (Son
Bonet) for the according CTR entry and exit procedures.

Before entering the CTR pilot shall report position and altitude and may be required to hold over

The Final Approach Areas must not be crossed without clearance from TWR.
Enter CTR through 'N' or 'S' corridors, observing which RWY is in use by using AVBL resources like
ATIS, in sight traffic, pre-flight information, etc. Afterwards proceed to tail wind position within cross
'abeam' TWR, to make there 360 turns in opposite direction of RWY-in-use. Segment nearest to
TWR must coincide with 'tail wind' direction and 'abeam' TWR at 500' SFC or below while waiting
for visual signals to be issued by TWR.
All GA personnel movements on apron must be executed with the assistance of the Airport Service
or an authorised handling agent.
