What are the elements of urinary system?

1 kidneys - The kidneys are a pair of small organs located in the lower back in humans, and they are vital to life. They are found within many types of animals and play a crucial role in theurinary system of these animals. Other functions that they perform relate tohomeostasis within the organism, electrolyte balance, and blood pressure. 2 urethra - The urethra is a tube connected to the bladder. Urine is held in the bladder until it becomes full and then it travels through the urethral opening to be released from the body. Its anatomy is different in men and women. One of the most common differences is that men have longer urethras than do women. Possible urethral problems can include pain, infections, and cancer. 3 bladder -The human bladder can be seen as the final way station before urine is voided from the body. Its function is fairly singular, to hold urine until we can get to the bathroom. Despite its simple function, it has some unique and interesting features. The bladder is located in the lower abdomen. In men it is directly in front of the prostate, which is why an enlarged prostate can lead to problems urinating. In women, the bladder is placed between the vagina and the uterus, which explains why a pregnant woman is often very bladder sensitive as her unborn child grows larger.

4 ureter - The ureter is a small tube that connects a kidney to a urinary bladder. Humans, along with most other mammals, typically have two ureters, with one coming from each kidney. These ureters run down the back of the abdominal cavity before connecting to the urinary bladder. Kidney stones traveling down one of these tubes can be very uncomfortable or painful, and it can cause inflammation in the area.

5 sphincter - A sphincter is a ring of muscle which holds any kind of biological opening closed. Sphincters are an important part of almost any system in a body. They help to both regulate the exit, entrance and circulation of fluids, gasses, and solids. They help blood to move through a circulatory system and bile and nutrients to go through the digestive systems. They also assist in the voiding of wastes.
