Scythian cemetery of the III-II centuries BC near the village of Glinoe on the left bank of the Lower Dniester river (preliminary
results of the study). In the article for the first time the preliminary results are presented which concerned the research of the scythian cemetery
of the III-II centuries BC near Glinoe village. A description of the burial rite and material culture is provided, as well as the chronology of the
monument is considered. The materials obtained in the study of the cemetery are regarded to be of particular importance for the renovation of the
historical development of the Northern Black sea littoral and South-Eastern Europe in the III-II centuries BC.

Concerning the characteristic features of beliefs of thracian subethnos from Lower Dnieper hill-forts of the IIIrd
century BC to the IInd century AD. The collection of the things known as horses with heads of rams from the materials of
Lower Dnieper hill-forts from the 3rd century BC to the 2nd century AD is submitted. These images have a lot of analogies in the
monuments of Eurasia. Studying of semantics of the horses with heads of rams allows considering these images as replacement
of animals sacrificial.

Nomads of the Lower Don area IV-II centuries BC. Some problems of the study. The article considers some questions of ethnocultural belonging of the various groups of Lower Don nomads of the Hellenistic time. Studies show that in the Lower Don region in the IV
beginning of the III century BC are presented monuments of the nomads both of Western (Scythian) as well as of Eastern (Sirmatian) origin,
which are different in the funeral practice and which are separated geographically. The analysis of historical events of the Lower Don area of this
period lets us suppose that the leading forces here were the Scythians and the Bosporus Kingdom, while the role of the Eastern nomads is slightly
exaggerated.

The ritual complex from barrow 18 of Grushevskij cemetery. The problems of chronology.The article is devoted to the problems
of chronology of the ritual complex from barrow 18 of the Grushevskij cemetery (near Novocherkassk). The complex includes the hellenistic
helmet, the parts of scale armour, the arrowheads, the check-pieces, the harness decorations. Also in the barrow were found the fragments of
amphorae and table pottery. The complex is probably to be dated to the middle second half of the IIIrd century BC.

Antique ceramics in the ritual (votive) hoards of the Northern Black sea littoral. The article considers the six ceramic
complexes (amphorae, pottery and varnished vessels), found together with ritual (votive) hoards. These hoards consisted of horse
harness, elements of military equipment and armaments, metal vessels and represented a special phenomenon in the Northern Black
sea littoral in the Hellenistic epoch.
The analysis showed that these hoards were accompanied by the vessels made in Sinopa, Rhodes, Kos, Knidos and some other
Mediterranean centers. Of particular importance is the attribution of two stamps on the handles of the Rhodes amphora from the
hoard found near Semionovka, Odessa region, on one of them there is the name of the manufacturer Epigonos and on the other the
name of eponymous Agesippos, which refer to the IIa chronological group (234-220 BC).
The review of the amphora material, mould made and tableware vessels, accompanying the ritual (votive) hoards of the North
ern Black sea littoral, definitely shows their affiliation to the III the first half of the II century BC. This fact once again dem
onstrates the complete failure of the version about the connection of these hoards with the events of the 3rd Mitridatus war of the
70-60-ies of the I century BC.

North Black sea littoral in the III-II centuries B.C.: ritual hoards and archaeological cultures (raising a problem). Ritual/votive
hoards are the items of horse harness, weapon, military equipment and metal vessels, found in the barrow mounds, natural hills and the slopes of
the beams and not associated with burials.
At the present time on the territory from the Danube to the Volga and the Northern Caucasus about 50 similar complexes were fixed, which
are dated in the diapason of the III-I centuries BC.
The analysis of objects of a horse bridle from the hoards demonstrates their relationship with synchronous barbarian monuments of the Lower
Dniester region, the Crimea, Taman and the Northern Caucasus. Each of these territories is distinguished by its own specifics of decoration of
items of horse harness.
Mapping of the hoards shows that the vast majority of them mark a vast uninhabited territory of the III-II centuries BC, and synchronous
funerary complexes frame this territory in the southern sector, being located in the foothill zone and the major rivers.
All the above-mentioned groups of funerary monuments with hoard things are characterized by developed horse breeding and the presence
in the immediate vicinity of the settlements of considerable size, the specific of which is the expressive concentration of import amphora products.
Basing on the received information and the observations the hypothesis is formulated, according to which the ritual/votive hoards of the
Northern Black sea coast could mark the main caravan routes through the uninhabited territory and became the result of the ritual acts, committed
in the course of these caravans.

Thracian-Getae settlements of the Middle Dniester area in the context of East-Carpathian lands. In the VIth IIIrd centuries BC
the population of the Eastern Carpathian area was mostly presented by Thracian Getae communities. Their traces are presented by numerous
archaeological sites, in particular, settlements (over 400) and hill forts (about 115). On the topographic point of view, it is noted that they were
located not in isolation, but were concentrated in the so-called agglomerations consisting of several hill forts and many settlements. At present
in this area there were found about 10 agglomerations of this kind. Among them there is an agglomerations located in the Middle Dniester,
which consists of 28 hill forts and about 54 settlements.
A group of the eight sites located compactly between the town of Rezina and the village of Buchushka is of a special interest among the
settlements of the Middle Dniester area. The seven settlements (Rezina/Stohnaia I, Saharna La Revechin, Malaja Saharna Mic, Saharna Mare,
Saharna La Shants, Saharna Hulboaka, Buciushka) are on the right bank, and the one (Vyhvatintsy) on the left. By the location of these
fortifications it can be assumed that they, in addition to defensive purposes, also were destinated to control the water and land trade routes along
the Dniester.
Saharna Mare stands out against the other settlements for the power of its defensive structures and archeological inventory, so it probably
could serve as a capital for the Thracian-Getae communities of the Middle Dniester area.

Amphora stamps from the settlement Chobruchi on the left bank of the Lower Dniester. One of the mass categories of archaeological
material found during the excavations of the settlement Chobruchi is presented by amphora stamps. Most of them were read and dated. The
analysis of brands allows distinguishing five phases of receiving of the imported product in stamped ceramic tare in the settlement Chobruchi: 1)
320-270 BC; 2) 269-240 BC; 3) 239-190 BC; 4) 189-160 BC; 5) 159-90 BC. Considering the coefficients of amphorae stamping we managed to
calculate indicators of absolute density of distribution of products in the ceramic tare arriving at the settlement Chobruchi throughout each of the
stages.

Amphora stamps from Transdniesteria. To the moment they have recorded 405 amphora stamps from 32 ancient monuments in
Transdniesteria. All stamps are localized. About 80% of stamps from the collection were relatively well to date.
The analysis of the stamps distribution in time and space lets us distinguish two phases of the active life of the region during the end of the
V the beginning of I century BC.
During the first phase (the end of the V 270 BC), the import of products in ceramic tare was relatively constant and relatively high (the density
of distribution of the stamps was 1,5-2 times higher than the average density over the period). Up to the 30-ies of the IV century BC the dominant
position in the market was taken by Heraclea products, but later until the end of the phase the Thasos wine. The stamps of this period of life in
Transdniesteria are recorded at 26 monuments of the region. In this case the majority of products was imported on the settlements along the banks of
the Dniester estuary and the mouth of the Dniester. The import of ceramic products in stamped packaging dramatically interrupted by the end of the
70ies of the III century BC, probably in connection with the end of life on the most of the settlements in the region.
Quite a different picture is presented by imported stamped products in ceramic tare that arrived in the Transdniesteria during the second
phase (240-160 BC) of the active life of the region. On the one hand, the number of points where stamps of this phase were fixed was reduced
by half compared with the preceding one and the centre of economic life moved from the area of the Dniester estuary upstream of the Dniester
(settlements Krasnoe and Chobruchi). On the other hand, the absolute density of stamps during this phase was 2-3 times higher than the average
over the period. The componence of imports was also changed. Up to 190 BC undivided domination of Sinopa products on the market, and after
until 160 BC of Rhodes products.
In the second half of the II century BC life on the majority of settlements in the region either completely stops or hardly goes on.

The temple complex of the Elizavetovskoe settlement on the Don (preliminary communication). The article deals with a new
Hellenistic temple complex, open on the territory of the Elizavetovskoe settlement in the delta of the Don. The complex consisted of three rooms,
one of which is a closed complex. During the examination of this room was found a considerable number of items, among which there are five
terracotta figurines, a fragmented silver plate with the image of the goddess Demetra, bowls incense-burners, a bronze casket, various tableware,
jewellery, etc. It is very important that in this room for the first time during the study of a Large Greek colony, in situ was discovered the skeleton
of a person who died in the time of the building destruction. The set of materials discovered during the examination of the temple complex, shows
that his death occurred no later than the first half of the 70-ies of the III century BC.

The famous dynasty of Rhodes manufacturers (based on a collection of stamps from Tyra). The article analyzes the Rhodes
amphora stamps from the excavations of Tyra in 1998-2008, which belong to the famous dynasty of the manufacturers, the founder of which was
1, who inherited the production of his father 1.
If the legend 1 along with his name, and also the name of one of Rhodesian months, located around the emblem rose, was
used for marking of the amphorae, produced in his workshop in the second chronological period, when during the 1 and his heirs
2, and their heir the name of the month disappears from the stamp legend.
The representatives of this famous dynasty of Rhodes manufacturers were among the first, who along with magistrate and manufacturer
stamps widely used the third small additional stamp, belonging to the potter.

Handmade incense-burners decorated with flutes from North-Eastern Azov Sea area. The paper deals with a series of handmade
incense-burners decorated with flutes excavated in the North-Eastern Azov Sea area, namely at the Elizavetovka settlement and Tanais, in
burials of the Beglitrza cemetery and the Nizhnegnilovskaia settlement. The author elaborates a typology of fluted incense-burners from the
Elizavetovka settlement and carries out a comparative analysis of incense-burners from the North-Eastern Azov Sea area and those from the
Kuban, Middle Don and Dniester regions. It appears that in spite of the morphological closeness of all fluted incense-burners they were used by
various ethnocultural groups.

New glyptic monuments of Mithridates VI Eupators time from Tyra. The article analyses on the large historical and art background
the new findings from Tira of the monuments of glyptic (gems, rings, ceramic signs) of the time of entry of the city in the state of Mithridates VI
Eupator. The authors conclude that most of them have a pronounced promithridates symbology, copied from the pontic coins and mintage of the
city. Most of them were made at the mint of the Tira and were intended for administration and military garrison, obviously, as in Olbia, standing
in this city.

Gordashevka hoard. The article is devoted to a new discovery of the ritual complex in the Northern Black Sea littoral, which included
elements of horse bridle and weapons. The Gordashevka hoard complements the already representative sample of such complexes in Eastern
Europe. The analysis allows identifying the different components in the componence of the hoard, as a result, it is proposed to date the Gordashevka
hoard to the beginning of II century BC and consider it as a latescythian.

The ancient necropolis of the Lower Bug region in IV-III centuries B.C.: the features of historical topography, character and
structure. The article examines the issues connected with the peculiarities of the historical topography, character and structure of the cemeteries of
Olbia chora in the IV-III centuries BC. The mixed character and presence of selected part of the monuments are underlined. Their located mainly
in the form of wide zone, i.e. the original memorial alleys, placed along the ancient roads that is inherent in the ancient Greek burial practice. The
topography of the cemeteries is analyzed in the context of their location on simultaneous settlements. The author comes to the conclusion that
the organization of the antique necropolis of the Lower Bug region had a planned character in the process of the gradual development by Olbia
inhabitants their agricultural territory, in which all the land around new settlements initially allocated to residential, industrial and economic
and sacral-memorial.

Chersonese in the the III-II centuries BC. The article outlines the main stages in the history of the Chersonese in III-II centuries BC. In
the first quarter of the III BC this north Black Sea littoral polis is at the top of its economic prosperity. Then Chersonese underwent expansion by
the barbarians, and lost its economic base (chora). The stabilization of the situation occurred at the beginning of the last third of the III BC, and it
was accompanied by a revival of villages and estates of the Chersonese on the Gerakleia peninsula and in the North-Western Crimea. At the end of
the first quarter of the II century BC begins the next stage of active confrontation of Chersonese and the barbarians. The city is finally deprived of
his possessions in the North-Western Crimea, and most of the estates on the Peninsula Gerakleia. Judging by the numismatic data, in the second
and third quarters of the II century BC the democratic system in the Chersonese was removed. The restoration of democracy happened at the be
ginning of the last quarter of the II century BC.

A new group of Mediterranean amphora stamps. Out of 488 amphora stamps found on the territory of the scythian Kapulovskoe
settlement were identified five identical stamps with the names of Antilohos, Euboios, Hermi(-) and Polua (-). The author brings these finds
together in a new group of amphora stamps of the first third of the III century B.C. from the Mediterranean an Antiloh group. The research
provides 24 similar stamps from other ancient monuments of the Northern Black Sea littoral. It is established, that out of 29 stamps of the
Antiloh group, 27 were made by one carver. The attempt is made to localize the production centre of amphorae with stamps of the Antiloh
group.

Hoard of Olbio boristhen coins from Kapulovka. The article publishes 140 ancient coins from the hoard found on the outskirts of
the village Kapulovka in 2011. It was possible to classify 126 coins. There are so called Olbio boristhen coins in the hoard. A special scientific
value of the published material consists in fact that it is the first big hoard found far from to the north-east of Olbio (about 300 km) which is large
extracts of coins belonging to one type, represented by nine consecutive groups (from ten) of boristhen coins. The data of hoard is determined
no later than 270 BC.

Mouldmade bowls from Neapolis Scythian: preliminary analysis. The article is dedicated to preliminary analysis of mouldmade
bowls from Neapolis Skythian late Hellenistic layers. 21 bowls were selected for the investigation, which were analyzed in accordance with context
of the find, basic motifs of the pictures, the features of clay and varnish. It was found that Ionian cities, particularly, Ephesos, were the main
suppliers of relief bowls in the capital of Late Skythian Kingdom.
