CDM trained dancers are well-known for their strong technique, artistic expression and musicality. We are dedicated to bringing the same quality instruction to our music program. While the school was built on a strong foundation of classical ballet, it has evolved to offer an encouraging atmosphere that cultivates the very best in both dance and music instruction. CDM MUSIC PROGRAM

At Conservatory of Dance & Music we take pride in quality instruction. We understand that students learn in different ways - while some students prefer the focus of one-onone lessons, other students progress better in a group environment. Classical music training prepares students for a variety of musical styles. Our music faculty and staff include members of the Royal Conservatory of Music, accredited musicians as well as professionals performing in the field. CDM DANCE PROGRAMS

RECREATIONAL DANCE: We take pride in our professional staff and fun, yet challenging classes. These classes cover fundamentals suitable to each age and level. Students will also have the opportunity to perform in our exciting year end recital. We offer the following Recreational Dance Forms: Early Childhood Dance Programs Classical Ballet (including Royal Academy of Dance exams) Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop Acrobatics Musical Theatre COMPETITIVE DANCE: For those who demand a more challenging experience, our award-winning competitive programs are built on a strong foundation of over 20 years of knowledgeable teaching. The CDM Competitive Program offers a chance to test your commitment to the discipline of dance. We offer quality instruction from accomplished dance professionals in a forum where fundamentals are perfected and progressive choreography is implemented. Most of all, our competitive program is FUN!

Cheryl is proud to have been a part of CDM for 20 years: $150 + HST/60 mins. $180 + HST/90 mins. $225 + HST/120 mins. first as a student then part of $40 -$70 / hour the faculty, and now as the Free (one trial per dance form, max. 3) Artistic Director.

*1 Term = approx. 12 classes/3 terms per year. A $25 registration fee per family is applied to Term 1 fees & $50 nonrefundable recital costume deposit is applied to term 2 fees unless student opts out of the recital by Dec 15. Extra Fees that may be incurred: dancewear uniform, recital costume deposit & balance, photography, recital dvds, RAD exam fees, school field trips, and special guest workshops. Extra fees that may be incurred in the Competitive Program: competitive registration fee, choreography, entry, costume deposit & balance, props, make-up, travel expenses and accessories.

MUSIC RATES

Cheryl is a registered teacher and Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance. She holds her Adv. 2 RAD certificate and has performed the Solo Seal Award. Cheryl was a national level gymnast and trained at The Ailey School in NYC for contemporary dance. She also holds a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Toronto.
