Aim of this activity: The aim of this activity is for you to have an interview with a teacher handling your area of concentration/major. In the interview, you will ask about his/her experience of utilizing instructional materials in the learning tasks. After the interview, you will answer accomplish the task found in Part 2 of this sheet.
Instructions: 1) Look for a teacher who is currently teaching your major/area of concentration. (Ex. A SPED teacher, pre-school teacher, high school Mathematics teacher, and the like) 2) When s/he agrees to have this interview with you, please indicate the needed information in the template below.
Form A: UTILIZATION OF INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
Grade/Year Level Taught: 1 Subject: EPP, MSEP Best teaching practices used in the subject: (You can ask what strategies and methods s/he uses) The teacher uses visual aids whenever she reports in class. She uses cooperative learning where she finds it effective and groups the class in activities and reports and sometimes lets them have a role playing as their activity.

Reasons for using these teaching practices: The teacher finds it effective and it is best when students collaborate with their peers through groupings.

Strengths -It can make the lesson meaningful -It catches students attention -It retains the lesson

Weaknesses

What instructional materials are not currently used by the teacher but are being explored and are expected to be of great help in the teaching and learning of the subject? The instructional materials not used by the teacher are the new ones such as laptop and projectors for it is not available in their school and other teachers finds it hard especially those who are not into technology.

Use instructional materials as much as possible for it can help in discussing the lesson thoroughly. Try to recycle other instructional materials which had used before make sure that it is still usable and pleasant to look at. *******c,*******

What I learned during our interview with the teacher are: 1. Teachers should use instructional materials to teach the students like using concrete objects, visual aids, models, etc.

2. Teachers should have one on one teaching to students who are not that good in their performance in the classroom.
