1.

Pump motor
Pump motors are calculated using the following equation: g Q h h = = = = 9810 200 10.0 0.70 N/m3 m3/h m3/h

P=
where:

7786

g stands for the fluid specific weigfht in N/m3 (9810 N/m3 for water and 8000 for petroleum)
Q stands for pump flow capacity in m3/h h is the discharge height in m h is the mootr - pump system total efficiency factor (0,50 0,70).

2. Lifts, elevators and cranes

Motors for these applications are calculated using the following equation G = 200000.00 kp v = 40.0 m/s h = 0.70

P = 1164992

where: G is the maximum load to be lifted in kp (1kp = 9,81N) v is the levation velocity in m/s h is the motor - pulley system total efficiency factor (0,50 0,70) When calculating person lifts G we must add 75 kg (=kp) for each person. If there is a contraweight we must divide the work load by 2. For a person lift with a contraweight, the load for the equation is 10 x 75 kp = 750 kp / 2 = 375 kp.

3. Fans, compressor motors

Motors for these applications are calculated using the following equation Q = 30 Dp = 10.0 h = 0.70 kp m/s

P=

11905

where: Q is the air flow in m3/h Dp is the pressure raise in bar = 105 Pa (N/m2) h is the motor - fan (or compressor) system total efficency factor ( 0,50 0,70).
