Sir Dave is a very cool and jolly teacher, he told us that hes just a fresh graduate from Xavier University and it is his first time teaching us. I find the subject very interesting because he uses a lot of modern instructions that fits our age not like normal instructions given by our teachers. And maybe because the subject is Computer thats why it is more modernized and exciting. He uses presentations for his instructions and mostly, were more engaged in using computer in his class. 3. Make inquiries if the teacher uses instructional materials and how the students find these instructional materials in facilitating their learning of the subject. a. Finally, ask if they see if instructional materials are important for learning and studying. a. Are instructional materials important for studying? for learning? b. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using such materials in learning? For me, as a high school student, yes it is very important, because the more the teacher uses instructional materials, the more I find the lesson interesting, I would be very curious if what is in their instructional materials and will have the possibility that I can pay attention. The disadvantage would be if I cant read my teachers hand writing in their visual aids.

II. MAKING CONNECTIONS Go to www.edutopia.org. Explore the website and look for an article that you find is related to your learning in this episode. With your interview, the article, and as a student yourself; make a free verse poem with this idea: THE FILIPINO YOUTH, EDUCATION, AND THE 21ST CENTURY CLASSROOM

The Best 1:1 Device is a Good Teacher

http://www.edutopia.org/blog/best-device-is-good-teacher-andrew-marcinek The best devices a school can employ are great teachers. This line is just part of the paragraph in this article that caught my attention. As I was conducting the interview, I noticed that the students expected more from their teacher, their strategies than the technology that they are using. As I mentioned earlier, the best device a school can roll out is a teacher who can adapt to new and emerging technologies, does not always require formal training for learning and staying current, and is not tethered to a product (such as PowerPoint or a SmartBoard) in order to teach. Education technology will continue to progress, and part of this evolution will be for students and teachers to stay current with both curriculum and digital literacy. Even in the absence of technology, a great teacher will continually seek out ways to engage his or her students in great lessons, simulations or challenges. Quoted from the article, I truly agree with this statement because for me, what are technologies if there were no teachers operating them. In the end, its the mind and intelligence of a person which the most valuable of all. Without the teacher and their knowledge, technology would just be in the corner waiting for the dust. Just like the teacher of my interviewee from college, she told me that though his teacher doesnt use any instructional materials in teaching, he catches their attention with his humor and knowledge. And it is very true, because even if you have all the technology in the world, ipad, computer, smartboards, projector and etc., if you dont know what you are teaching about, every single thing of this would be very useless.
