Overview of PreCalculus: (Prerequisite Algebra II and Geometry) This is a preparatory course for Calculus. PreCalculus connects and extends topics covered in prior math classes and promotes the development of higher-level mathematical skills. The course includes functions and their graphs, trigonometric functions and their inverses, complex and polar coordinates, sequences and series, conic sections, vectors and limits. Grading System: 50% Daily Grades - homework, classwork, quizzes 50% Major Grades tests

Tests: At least 3 tests will be given each term. Tests will be cumulative. Projects: These will be assigned periodically. They may count as a major grade (depends on the project) and will therefore need to be taken seriously. A zero on a project could drastically affect your average. Homework: This will be assigned every night. Homework is NOT an option. It is a necessary part of your learning and success in this class. Homework will be collected frequently. Make-up Work: When you are absent, it is YOUR responsibility to look on the website and find the appropriate assignment. The assignment not turned in on the day you were absent will be due the day you return. Youtube tutorials will be recommended for each assignment on your syllabus. If you have missed a Quiz, you will be asked to take it during class upon returning. If you have missed a Test, check the next available time math make-up testing will be provided. A current schedule will be posted both in the classroom and on the website.
