What he requires is a type of calculater, a so-called technical graphing calculator, which allows advanced statistical analysis, and graph analysis with derivatives and integrals. Given that it does not appear to be possible for him to undertake studies under organised, ‘official’ means at the institution, he would like to develop his knowledge through self-study (equivalent of university level). | am obviously more than willing to help him with this and to provide him with a calculator of this kind, as well as any other material he needs for his studies | hope therefore that his wish will be respected and that he will get the authorisation required to receive a technical calculator of this kind.
