Bauer Media Group is a large German publishing company based in Hamburg which operates in 15 countries worldwide. The company was found in 1875 and is still around to this very day. Since it was founded in the 18th century it has been privately owned and managed by the Bauer family the themselves. Bauer Media reaches over nineteen million UK adults every week. Furthermore the music magazines that Bauer Media publish are: Q Mojo and Kerrang. All of the above are advertised on there main website to expand the brand identity and are all stated to be mens magazines.

Emap

EMAP stands for East Midland Allied Press and is a British Company. Emap is International Limited and is now known as Top Right Group. The current owners of Emap are by Apax and Guardian Media Group. Nevertheless Emap was the second largest magazine publisher in the UK, however in 2007 they announced that the company split and was sold off in December. Emap has now been taken over by the German publishing company Bauer.
