Disposal of infected waste in the infected waste bin according to the degree of contamination. 2. Disposal of sharps into a hard sharps container. 3. Transfer of infected instruments to the cleaning area and soaking them in water or chemical disinfectant, if they will be sterilized at end of the day or later. 4. If instruments need to be sterillised immideately, then they should be washed under running water, wearing heavy utility gloves- remove any visible contaminants by scrubbing with a brush, then let them dry for sometime before packing them fr sterilization. 5. clean any blood spill using a disinfectant 6. Cleaning and disinfection of all potentially contaminated surfaces with a chemical disinfectant (wearing gloves) --bracket table, dental chair, head rest, dental light, dental xray unit, rubber pipes (going from higher to lower areas sequentially) 7. Scrub/ disinfect the sink of dental chair. 8. Then remove your contaminated personal protective barriers and wash your hands with an antiseptic handwash. 9. replace the used plastic barriers with new ones.(eg. On touch panel of dental chair, dental light switch, head rest, dental xray unit head, etc. 10. replace the suction tip. 11. Place a sterilized tray with sterilized examination set on the bracket table and sterilized handpeice and triway syringe. 12. Wear a new mouth mask, headcap, protective eyewear and a pair of gloves for the next patient.
