If you are absent you need to do the following: 1) Check the website to see if an assignment was given 2) Check the folders on the wall for any additional handouts a. Get the needed worksheet, maps, etc. from the day you were absent. 3) Turn your work in on time. One day missed = work is due next day. 4) It is your responsibility to make up missed tests. You have 1 week to make up a test.

Passes: The school policy is to not allow passes during instruction (class) time. I follow this school
rule. However, I do understand that emergencies do arise. Therefore I will allow one emergency pass for the card marking. Use it wisely as you will only get one.

Extra Help: If you need extra help, I am available before school or after school on any day except
Tuesday (staff meetings). Please let me know in advance so I can be sure to be there. There is also tutoring on Thursday nights in the library, take advantage of this opportunity.

Contact Information: The best way to contact me is through email: wallers@wwcsd.net I check my
email several times during the school day and can get back to you very quickly. You also could call the school and leave a message at 419-2300. If you leave a message I will attempt to call you back during that time the next school day. However, I would like to emphasize again that email is the best way for us to communicate. Use of email precludes the problem of playing phone tag. We will utilize a class website. This is a method of academic support.
