Mathematics Teacher, August 2012 Present Designed curriculum aligned to the California State Standards to 9-12th grade students in Algebra and Intermediate Algebra. Developed a pacing guide and assessments for all Algebra courses. Assessed students' progress daily in math through formal and summative assessments. Implemented a Co-Teaching model with a Special Education teacher in Algebra. Integrate Technology into the mathematics program with Student Netbooks, a class website, and utilized an individualized Accelerated Math Program.
Collaborated with a 7th grade team to ensure lesson pacing and objectives for Pre-Algebra. Lessons and assignments geared to develop conceptual and procedural understanding of mathematics. Used differentiated learning, SADIE, and reading strategies in the classroom. Created Exit Slips to re-evaluate lessons and to modify instruction. Chaperone responsibilities on the East Coast Expedition Trip for 8th grade and Yosemite Trip for 7th grade.
