The Power of Pr*yer to a G who Saves

Just the other night, we were reflecting on the past month and one of us said, It has been such a fruitful month, a lot has happened. And then we said, I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that people have been especially praying for us! Ha! Of course it does! Thank you so much for all of you that participated in our Month of Prayer. As you will see, it is apparent that G was at work through your prayers. In Mark 1:14-17 we see two calls a general call to repent and believe and a call to come deeper, Follow Me. This past month I have seen G calling people with these two calls. In this culture, everybody believes something about Jesus, but nobody really follows him. Over the past month, I have seen 2 people tell me that they want to begin to be Followers of J This doesnt actually mean that they want to convert to Xtianity, but nevertheless they are moving past simply having right beliefs about God and starting Thank for those that have continued to to accept Him for themselves and obey what he says, i.e. follow him. With these 2 pr*y for us throughout the month of especially, it seems there is a gradual, yet inevitable, process of becoming a true follower August. Please continue to pray for us. of J. They are responding to the call to belief and the call to follow simultaneously. One We believe that God is changing of them is a Hindu that Brandon and I have been meeting with. One day we were reading peoples hearts as you ask. together the above passage and I asked him if he believed in J. He said Yes! and then I asked him if he was a follower of J. He thought for a while and he said, No but I think Im naturally becoming one. What he went on to explain was that as he learns more about who J is, he sees what his life should be about and things that he should do and not do. This is evident from his life; he frequently shares about J with his friends, has given up promiscuity, and has changed his goal in life because of J! There are also a lot of Xtian believers that are responding to Jesus call to come deeper. The majority of the fruit in the past month is seen on the discipleship side of mnstry. I, Ian, has begun meeting with 3 new believers for discipleship. All of them seem to be understanding Js call for their life in a way we havent seen before in Bangladesh. One of them was a contact that the FOCUS team made this summer. Ian followed up with him and was really encouraged by what he was saying. I asked him how long hed been a Xtian and he said, 2 months. I was shocked because when I The Bethlehem met him a few months ago, we all thought he was a Xtian. He went on to explain that Bible Study group at the selfthe he had been from a X-tian family, but it wasnt until the FOCUS team came and initiated All-Night Prayer explained to him the cross that he truly accepted Christ as Saviour. He said, I wasnt a Event. We are seeing a lot of true follower back then, but now I am Praise the Lord! It seem the team lead someone growth in these guys as they to Xt without even knowing it! This particular guy after our first meeting has taken to the begin to catch the vision for Gs scriptures like none of our other believers I have met with before! Naturally G, with little work and discipleship. help from us, is making disciples for his glory!!!!

News from the school

Eid, a mslm holiday that marks the end of the season of fasting, Ramadan was in August. During this holiday we were able to spend some time with some mslm national staff from Grace. They invited us to their house for a meal. It was a great for Haley to get to spend time with them outside of the context of the school. This also allowed for us to go a little deeper with them about thoughts they have about G and J. We believe a door was opened for future conversations and even that they might read the Injeel. Haley was also able to spend some quality time outside of school with another one of the mslm staff from Grace. This co -worker is undergoing some stressful situations at home. Haley was able to share with her about Gods love and also our need for a Saviour. This also opened some more doors for future conversations and possible reading together the Quran and then the Injeel. Praise the L!

Ministry opportunities galore! Id like to tell you about an interesting story that happened this past month. The Hindu man that I meet with who is slowly becoming a follower of J, told me about something that happened to him at an English club he regularly attends. He said that he was there speaking in front of everyone and naturally he felt that he needed to share about J. He began sharing what he knew about J, and it was not being received well and many in the class started to get upset and were about to kick him out of the class. Then another guy came in front of the class and told everyone that they should calm down and let him speak what he believes. Because of this the class agreed and he continued to speak. It turns our that the other guy that spoke on behalf of my friend was a guy that I am friends with and have been sharing with also. Ha! These two guys didnt know it but they had something in common the seed of the GoodNews in them! And then just the other day, completely independently, another friend invited me to come to this same English club to share with them about J. He said, There are many people who want to know something about J. Can you Some of the FOCUS Team enjoying come and tell them? Uh?! Yes! So I went to the English club some Cha (Tea) which consisted of about 50 people and was immediately bombarded with questions- Which is better the Qur'an or the Bible? Can you give us a summary of what the Bible says? From this I was able to spend about 45 minutes sharing Creation**If you missed Ian to-Xt and answering many other questions about J\.
