Wuthering Heights Drama Review

The play Wuthering Heights was not as good as the book. I do not recommend the play Wuthering Heights: The musical, to anyone. The play did not do the book justice by any means, and it left out some of the important parts of the book which caused a lot of confusion. I felt that the play was an embarrassment to the books author, and the writer of the plays script. In the play several characters were left out, but a few were mentioned and made no stage presence at all. The characters that were not included in the play caused a loss of detail that was crucial in some parts of the book. The characters in the play were wearing bad mics, which made it very hard to understand what their lines were, and it made it seem as though either they were singing and talking too loud, or way too low. Throughout the play it was apparent that what props were used were made the most of, although there was an apparent shortage in costumes. Though the play followed the story of the book with the crazy families, and the bitter three-way love story involving a self centered woman who couldnt make up her mind, it left out

much of the other parts of the book, and made the plot and the characters less extreme then they were in the book. It is because of this that I do not recommend this play to anyone. Though the book itself couple be confusing as times, the play made it incredibly easy to get lost and confused. I
