FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE RESPONSE TO LAWSUIT FILED BY NATIONAL SECURITY OF ALABAMA V. THE ALABAMA LEGISLATURE ET.AL.

(Dothan, AL-September 4, 2013) DSI Security Services has been notified of a lawsuit filed by National Security of Alabama (DTA Security Services) in which they are contesting the award of the Alabama Legislature Security Contract to DSI Security Services. While we have not yet been served with the action, we have been made aware of the allegations made by National Security of Alabama and would like to correct several inaccurate and potentially defamatory statements made by the plaintiff. First and foremost, DSI competed openly and fairly for the contract and it was awarded based on the fact that our proposal represented the best value for the taxpayers of Alabama. Any allegations of undue influence playing a role in this process are false and have no basis in fact. Speaker of the House Mike Hubbard has never had any direct or indirect financial relationship with DSI-now or in the past. Speaker Hubbard has never been involved in the business dealings of DSI and he has never had any ownership interest in our company. Furthermore, neither Alan Clark nor DSI have ever offered or given political contributions to Mr. Hubbard. We view these allegations as not only false and misleading, but defamatory statements that appear to be made with a reckless disregard for the truth with the intent to damage the professional reputation of our company and owner. We are currently contemplating legal action against National Security and any other responsible parties. We intend to provide a full legal response to this action at the appropriate time. We look forward to a court of law looking at the merits of this case and ultimately making a decision that is in the best interest of the taxpayers of Alabama.
