Lesson type : Practice Materials : Noughts and crosses grids with vowel phoneme written on.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Work in pairs, with one copy of the grid for each pair. 2. The first students chooses a square and provides a WORD which contains that sound. 3. If they get it right, they put a naught in the square.

4. Then it is the second students turn. If

their suggestion is correct for their nominated square, they put a cross. 5. If a students gets a word wrong, the second students can try to win the square. 6. The student with the most square wins.
