Hello 2012!
The idea of Christmas Season is awesome, you get to enjoy, have fun, and forget the odds of life. As the clich goes, it is the time for giving, loving, forgiving, and actually, eating. I enjoy seeing and hearing kids singing Christmas Carols, the decorations on display this time of year are just as beautiful as well as the wishes that people, including strangers, exchange with one another, and lastly, the idea of celebrating Christs birthday is great, yet, we dont celebrate Christmas. I grew up with the doctrines of Iglesia Ni Cristo and one we dont believe that Christ was born on the 25th of December and thats is why we dont believe on Christmas Day. While everyone is celebrating and having fun on Christmas Eve, we are on our beds and having a good night sleep. However, we welcome New Year with a blast. Our family tends to celebrate every changing of a year with great enjoyment. We exchange gifts, show our sportsmanship, exchange thoughts together, sing on the karaoke, and eat together. We eat on an open are in the back of our house, with my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. We taste all the foods that each has made, with a smile stuck on our faces. I like the idea of Christmas but I like the idea of New Year even more. It is the time of the year where most people of different culture, religion, or any other differences, come together to celebrate another year that God has given us. The true idea of New Year is the thought of giving thanks to the Lord Almighty for the wonderful year that had passed and another fruitful year to come. New Year and every day for the rest of our lives are all about GOD and His love, let us not forget that. I have celebrated New Year with my family, which was more than enough. I have thanked the Lord God for all of His Blesssings, His grace, His Forgiveness, all the trials that made me a better person, and most especially His Love and it felt so wonderful. Every New Year is year to remember. Its not about the fancy gifts and foods, its about being with your family, having fun and thanking God together.
