The Hercules Difference

Hercules stuffing boxes are recognized for superior quality and design unsurpassed in the industry. Hercules originated cone-style packing and it quickly became the industry standard. Now with the advent of DOME packing, Hercules has introduced a new concept destined to become an even greater standard. Both cone and DOME packing provide a tight seal without the excessive tightening required for compression-type packing. Certain Hercules stuffing boxes have a unique misaligning feature that reduces the need for exact alignment with the pumping unit. The newer inverted cone and DOME style packing automatically compensate for flow line pressures. Hercules inverted cone stuffing boxes feature unique inverted cone packing that is pressure activated by well fluids, providing a superior seal without excessive tightening. The packing is very easy to adjust and results in a more uniform and longer lasting seal.

The most important feature of stuffing box packing is long-lasting performance. R&M Energy Systems continually tests new and better materials to meet the demands for ever-changing well conditions.
