You are given 60 minutes to answer the questions and transfer to the Answer sheet. It is composed of three parts with a total of 40 questions.

STRATEGIES
Look for keywords. Eliminate other answers. Look for keywords in questions and synonyms in the passage. Do not read the whole paragraph. Always read the headings and the topic sentences. Identify the heading of the present paragraph before moving on to the next. Which paragraph discusses this information? Choose the most obvious answer. Take into account the grammar and sentence structure. Read the statement first. Be cautious of broad statement. Distinguish the differences of modal verbs. YES: same idea but different words used : different ideas but still, consistent with each other NO : opposites : inconsistent with each other : statement has an incomplete information NOT GIVEN: statement is not in the passage : statement has an additional information Identify the character of different categories in the text. Do not use contractions when word limits are given. Check the question to see if you need to answer from your own words or words from the text. Information in summaries is usually in the same order as the passage.

Check if there is a glossary use diagrams, highlighted words, titles and heading to know the general idea of the text. Use context clues and word-building skills which will make you understand difficult words. Look for synonyms in the reading passage of key words in question. If you are short of time, make sure to think about the type of questions you can easily answer.

Dont start reading without knowing WHY you are reading. Dont read for enjoyment. Dont worry about the unknown words you encounter unless they are important. Dont leave any space on your answer sheet.
