What is a Bimetric System

Bimetric Syetem it’s an energy saving lighting technology from G.E. Lighting Controls , it’s the state of
art technology that combines multy electronic energy saving technologies in one fixture , the Bimetric
syetem will save up to 75 % from the energy consumed in the street lighting by combining High
Frequency Electronic Transformers (Dimmable Ballast ) Occupancy control sensors , and light level
sensors to control the necessary light level according to street occupancy trafic density or according to
preprogamed saving energy settings …

1) HID Bimetric : HID Bimetric will use conventional HID lamps as light sources while will use Electronic
Transformer instead of the Magnetic ballast + Egnitor and Capacitor , PLC to control the light level during
different night times according to feed back data from the density sensors , a Bimetric system will be combined
