When we have Faith in Jesus Christ, and repent of our sins, we can be baptized (D&C 20:37)

Baptism is an important ordinance or rite that shows we have entered into a covenant with God.

Q: Whats a covenant? A Covenant is a two-way promise between man and God, and God will always keep his promise. We will be blessed as we enter into, and obey, Gods covenants.

Through baptism, we covenant to take upon us the name of Jesus Christalways represent Him, remember Him, and keep His commandments Q: What?? How do we do that????

God promises to give us the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost, give us a remission of our sins, and be born again (John 3:3 (John 3:5))

Through these covenants, we receive more knowledge, and we experience Gods power in our lives.

Jesus set the perfect example in His life. He was baptized by immersion (Mat 3:1317) (2 Nephi 31:4-18) Q:If Christ was baptizedand hes perfectwhy must we be baptized? No one can enter into the presence of God without being baptized (John 3:5)

Baptism by immersion represents death, burial, and ressurection and it is the only way we can become members of the restored Church and fully enjoy the gospel.
