The Craigmont High football team advanced to the second round of the play offs, but fail short to the Ridgeway Road Runners on 11/9/2012(score) 49 -28. The Chiefs ended their season with a record of 9-3 and a league record of 4-1. This has been a great season for the Chiefs, going down in Craigmont history as the first team in years to make it to the second round of the playoffs. I must say outstanding performances were demonstrated by the seniors as well as other under classmen. Many are looking forward to seeing if the Chiefs can further their journey, possibly bringing home the state championship title. Basketball Season is finally here! Student council and the boys and girls put together the 2 nd annual Craigmont Mid-day Madness. Both teams showcased their skills and introduced the players for this upcoming season. At The basketball jamboree held on 11/13/12 both teams came home with the win against Fairley. 11/19/13 the Girls Basketball team opened up their season in the Martin Luther King Tournament against Whitehaven. Unfortunately the lady Chiefs did not bring home the win, but took on Trezvant Bears on 11/20/12 and defeated them 47-68. 11/27/12 the C.H.S Girls Basketball team lost to the Wooddale Cardinals. The Lady Chiefs now hold a record of 1-2. The C.H.S. Boys Basketball team opened their season in the MLK Tournament on 11/20/12. There they played Whitehaven losing with the score ending 87-79. The boys then played against a team from Alabama called Huntsville. Although they were defeated, they had a great win against Wooddale 11/27/12 97 -59. The Chiefs now hold a record 1-2. Please come out and support both teams. JV girls -3:30 JVBoys-4:30 Girls-6:00 Boys-7:00 Report your stats. and sports events to Sherrese Moore, C.H.S. Sports Reporter.
