Dear Chair Obey and Ranking Member Lewis:

I am requesting funding for Career Education for At-risk and Adjudicated Youth in the
amount of $500000 in fiscal year 2010.

The entity to receive funding for this project is Palm Beach County School District,
located at 3300 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33406.

The funding would be used to provide career/vocational education to approximately 300

students in grades 6-12, who are at risk of dropping out or becoming involved in gang
violence or already have dropped out and have entered the juvenile justice system.

I certify that neither I nor my spouse has any financial interest in this project.
