Dear Chairman Obey and Ranking Member Lewis:

I am requesting funding for the Program-Wide Positive Behavior Support for at-risk Youth,
Malvern, PA in fiscal year 2010. The entity to receive funding for this project is Devereux
located at 2012 Renaissance Blvd, King of Prussia, PA 19406. The purpose of the project is to
implement a Program-wide model of Positive Behavior Support (PWPBS) approach at the
Devereux Beneto Treatment Center. Devereux Beneto serves male and female clients in the age
range of 6-17 years with a variety of psychiatric conditions, including conduct and oppositional-
defiant disorders, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Anticipated outcomes:
• A 30% reduction in serious offenses
• A 30% reduction in restraint/seclusion
• A 20% increase in social/emotional goal attainment.
