What are Wards?

Wards are particular areas in which people within the City live. All citizens of the City of Canton live in either Ward 1, 2, or 3. These Wards are arranged from North to South with Downtown Canton being Ward 2 in the middle.

How does voting work?

Not only can you vote for the candidate that you feel best represents your interest in your Ward but: you can also vote for the candidates that represent your interest in the other two Wards. Therefore, you vote for one candidate in each Ward.

Voter registration ends October 7th for this election year. You can register at the Board of Elections Office in Downtown Canton.
