EXPONENT RULES TO REMEMBER

MULTIPLICATION OF POWERS
When the BASES are the same you can simply just ADD THE EXPONENTS to simplify. BUT REMEMBER THE BASE MUST BE KEPT THE SAME = BASE EXPONENT

DIVISION OF POWERS
When the BASES are the same you simply SUBTRACT the EXPONENTS to simplify. KEEP THE BASE THE SAME

(anything to the power of one is 1)

EXAMPLES: Multiplication REMEMBER TO USE BEDMAS

(any number without a exponent is a power of one)
