Jesus both God and Human

SONG CANTO
Jesus Shall Reign

READING LECTURA
Philippians 2:6-11 Second Reading for Palm Sunday of the Lords Passion Lectionary for Mass, no. 38ABC Christ humbles himself. Because of this, God greatly exalted him. Cristo se humill a s mismo; por eso Dios lo exalt.

A reading from the Letter of Saint Paul to the Philippians Christ Jesus, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. The word of the Lord.

PRAYER ORACIN

Christmas Mass during the Day, Collect Prayer

O God, who wonderfully created the dignity of human nature and still more wonderfully restored it, grant, we pray, that we may share in the divinity of Christ, who humbled himself to share in our humanity. Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
