Abstract

Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is often being ignored by the community, even the general practitioner. It is mostly because MCI shows no significance symptoms and the symptoms itself is similar to memory loss in normal aging process. However, MCI could progress into an even more serious disease which is Alzheimer. As people said the sooner the better, it also apply in this case. It will be nice if there is a way to interrupt the process as soon as possible or even to prevent MCI in elderly.

One of the risk factor for MCI is lack of physical activity. Truthfully, physical exercise is an activity we can do every day with low cost or even for free. But not everyone could spare their time to do the enough amount of physical exercise. Up to now, there is still no known cure for MCI. According to research by Yonas E. Geda, M.D., M.Sc., et. al, physical exercise could intervene cognitive decline in which releasing substances which could protect neuron cells, especially in the brain, and it also could increase synapsistic connection and increase hippocampal function. Physical exercise could be start from simple thing such as walking, running up to aerobic or another physical training
