Animal Habitat Project (worth 100 points) Introduction: In this project, you will research an animal of your choice, write a paper, design a habitat, and make a presentation to the class. This project is worth a test grade (100 points). Please use the rubric or checklist below to guide through what is needed. Major Assignments Due Date Answers to the Key Questions and Bibliography You must have at least 2 different sources from the following (ex: internet articles, library books, our textbook, encyclopedias, a newspaper, or an interview with someone.) In addition you will be required to fill out the bibliography. A five paragraph essay The paper should be at least one page, doublespaced, typed with 12 point font. Included in the paper should include the answers to all the key questions as outlined on our planning sheet. The essay will be graded on correct formatting, grammar, content, and bibliography. 3-D Model You may use your imagination and creativity to create a habitat for your chosen animal. This is to be no bigger than a shoe box. You will be graded on creativity, neatness, and does it look like actual habitat. Presentation You are required to give a presentation of the material you wrote about in your paper. You may, but are not required, have a PowerPoint or visual. The presentation must be at least 2 minutes in length and be interesting and engaging to the audience. The speeches will be graded on content, presentation, and time. Points 40
